Best fragrances for women - perfumes including vanilla and woodsy scents

By

Over the years, I've become so familiar with many varieties of women's fragrances that I've been able to develop an easy list of my repeating favorites of all time and would like to share them with you. Whether you like fruity or woodsy fragrances, there is sure to be something you like in this list. Here is my top 5 list from 5 to the ultimate #1!

5. Armani Code

Description- contains the scents of orange blossom, ginger, vanilla, honey, jasmine and more. A beautiful fragrance. I also love the blue and black bottle that it is packaged in.

2. Chanel Chance

I must admit that before I started wearing Avon fragrances to save money, Chanel Chance was my favorite fragrance of all time. I was more apt to buy it than the next fragrance, the #1 on this list because it was a very close 2nd in scent and it was more economical. Average cost $70-$80.

Description- Chanel Chance contains pepper, lemon and pineapple among the top notes. It is a fresh, sweet and happy scent.

1. Jean Paul Gaultier

Description- The bottle looks like a corseted torso of a lady. With the simple scents of vanilla, amber and woods, Jean Paul Gaultier by Jean Paul Gaultier is the best! Average cost $85-$100 at retailers like Macys and Sephora, but can be found more discounted at retailers like perfume.com.

Of course, this top 5 list had been based on my own personal favorites. I have tried all the above fragrances and have purchased many of them several times.

In reviewing the list, I realize I have a tendency to lean towards woodsy, vanilla, amber or fruit scents. The list does not leave much in the line of choices for those who prefer floral scents but I hope you like the list and if you are not familiar with some or all of these scents, give them a try. You won't regret it.

In summary, I notice some of my favorite scents repeating themselves, i.e-

green apple

watermelon

vanilla

Enjoy trying one of these perfumes today!

I wish these fragrances were scratch-and-sniff. That way I would know exactly what they smelled like!

Who would think that a pepper scent would be included in a perfume. It must work. Can't go wrong with Chanel.

Thanks.

I love the scent of Vanilla and White Shoulders! Great article...

My favorite perfumes are Chanel #5, Paris, Pheromone, and Weile de Weile. The second two are hard to find, nowadays, but not impossible.

If you like vanilla scents, for a great fragrance and a cheap alternative try Victoria Secret's Vanilla Lace. I always get complements and aked what I am wearing.

I love the old Woodhue scent and wish I could find one closest to it today, as it's not around.
